Second Annual NAUA Summit
Sept 30 – Oct. 5, 2024
We are experimenting for this 2nd Annual Summit by making this year’s Summit an all-online event. The workshops and social events will take place in the late afternoon/early evening all week, with a keynote speaker on Friday, our annual meeting and other workshops on Saturday and a final worship service on Sunday.
By hosting the Summit online we hope to maximize accessibility, reduce costs and make a small contribution to climate change by reducing transportation costs. We hope you will be able to join us. Stay tuned for schedule details and registration information.
Our historic first Summit held in Spokane, Washington was an amazing success. The three day event featured workshops, a worship service and an amazing keynote presentation by John Wood, Jr. You may now view all of the videos at our NAUA Summit Playlist available here
Quote from Frank Casper, co-author, Used to be UU
“On a personal note, let me say that I had something of an epiphany during the first day of this summit, and like all such experiences, it occured to me as though from out of the blue. I have not felt as free, safe, and welcomed in a UU environment for quite some time, perhaps a decade or more. I had truely forgotten what that feels like. No one was “out of covenant.” No one whined about being bullied or “harmed.” No one was walking on eggs for fear of using the wrong word, tone, or inflection. It was adult dialogue about serious matters conducted in a spirit of mutuality, affection, and good will. I am deeply grateful to Rev. Todd Eklof and all the good people who worked so hard to make this summit happen.” – Frank
